 WINE TOURS Sant'Ambrogio in the heart of the Valpolicella Classica

where the Recioto and the Amarone were born
Our job as winemakers craft is beautiful and engaging, rich values of attachment to the land and an ancient culture as wine of Valpolicella Classica

All this is contained in our wines and told in our company, open for tours, tastings and purchases

 In traveling through the Valpolicella Michelangelo sommelier or Alessio will accompany and guide, ready to welcome you in the language you requested Italian, English, German, Spanish

Tasting and guided path 

As an alternative to simple visit the company, we also offer a real "trip" in the wine world, guided and narrated by an expert

It 'a journey through the history and the culture of wine and senses 

The tasting and guided path is only on reservation and the average duration is about one hour and a half

The price is different according to the type of tasting

It's possible to taste wines in conjunction with the local cuisine in groups of a minimum of 10 to a maximum of 25 people on request

The farm is open the all year long (the opening hours follow)

In the period from early October to late December you can see the grapes naturally dried on "ARELLE"



  • In the spring, fall and winter: Monday to Friday, with hours 10.00-13.00 / 15.00-18.00
  • In the summer (from May to late September) Monday to Friday, with hours 10.00-13.00 / 16.00-19.00
  • The rest of the year, during office hours: Monday to Friday 9.30-12.30 / 14.00-18.00

A walk through the vineyards

The tour after a warm wellcome will carry on with a walk through the vineyards in the "Sengia"estate  where you will see the farming system and pruning "PERGOLA" traditional of Valpolicella and  the system "GUYOT"

In the background the "MAROGNE" (the dry stone walls typical in this area) and at the bottom of the hill the splendid olive trees from which we produce our oil

The cellar

After the grape harvest begins the route of the wine birth

You will visit the natural drying area with the typical “ARELLE” (large trays of bamboo cane) and the underground cellar

In the cellar the grapes turns into wine with fermentation and maceration in steel containers and then has a rest and ages in Slavonian oak 25 hl

The aging times vary from about two years for the Recioto and about five for the Amarone, long time that gives to the wine roundness and longevity

The winetasting


The tours ends with the winetasting in the cellars of the ancient house, according to a document in the 1706 at the archives of the state of Venice, where our fathers use to vinify the “nectar” of the area

The winetasting includes some of our best wines or old vintage and on request you can taste wines in conjunction with the local cuisine
